Before We Get Started

  • Call our Intake/Office Coordinator at (404) 228-8558 or email us at info@propeltherapyatl.com to schedule an initial evaluation or initial therapy session.

  • If you are using insurance, please have your insurance information ready. We will reach out to your insurance provider and email you your insurance benefits available for speech therapy services for you to make an in-formed decision about out-of-pocket fees and expenses.

  • Once scheduled, you will receive an email with our online intake paperwork. All paperwork must be completed by the time of your initial appointment. Please begin this process ahead of time as we will need a lot of information in order to best prepare to serve your child/you.

New Client Checklist

  • Step 1

    New Patient Forms are completed in the IntakeQ system

  • Step 2

    Prescription faxed to (404) 228-8659 from you Primary Care Physician or your child’s pediatrician

  • Step 3

    Any current/past speech, occupational, or physical therapy reports are emailed to info@propeltherapyatl.com

  • Step 4

    Any current IEP is emailed to info@propeltherapyatl.com

  • Step 5

    Scan or Photo of the front and back of your insurance card is emailed to info@propeltherapyatl.com

  • Step 6

    Review your insurance benefits and determine if a pre-authorization is required

FAQs

  • Therapy sessions last for 30-minutes. The last 5-10 minutes is for parent questions, homework explanation, clean-up, and documentation for the session. We have great success with shorter, more frequent sessions to keep kids engaged and respect everyone’s busy schedules.

  • Yes! We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Medicaid. We do not accept CMOs, Peachstate, Amerigroup, and CareSource. Read more about insurance here.

  • For all other insurances, payment is made at the time of the session. Out of Network (OON) insurance billing for visits can be arranged for an additional $35 per month for out-of-network clients.

  • Yes, parents are typically encouraged to be involved in their child's therapy sessions. This can help parents learn strategies for promoting their child's communication and feeding skills outside of therapy sessions.

  • We provide therapy services from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm on Monday-Thursday. We provide a limited number of sessions on Friday morning (8:00 am until 12:00 pm). We are not open on the weekends.

  • All clients and families sign and are provided with a copy of the Policies. and Fees during the intake process. You may also download a copy of the policy here.
